Art Direction for Laugh Masters' First Live Show
Developed the branding and promotional assets for a live comedy show
Overview
When producing a live event in NYC, strong branding and effective marketing are essential for attracting audiences. Cameron Lindsey! came to me to help develop the logo and graphics for his comedy show, Laugh Masters, at Caveat on August 30, 2023. Our goal was not only to boost ticket sales and engage attendees, but also to differentiate ourselves within New York City's saturated comedy scene. Together with Cameron, we developed a look and feel inspired by retro-futurism, blending outer space imagery and sci-fi aesthetics. Building on this playful theme, I crafted a visual identity partnered with promotional materials and in-venue collateral.
Visual Identity
Logo
Bold and playful, the "LAUGH MASTERS" logo channels the geometric charm of Bauhaus typography with a cosmic twist. Its vibrant stars and Saturn-inspired letterform evoke a retro-futurist vibe perfect for comedy with character.

Color Palette
The color palette for the show fuses cosmic purples with neon accents, evoking alien worlds and retro-futurist vibes.

The polished visual identity gave the show a professional edge that helped it stand out in a crowded comedy scene. The cohesive style and playful promotional ads built buzz and credibility, leading to a sold-out premiere. The success of the first season set the stage for the show’s continued growth, now spanning five seasons.
